Abstracta 04.12.19
2019 – Oil on Panel, 48″ x 48″
BEAUTY In the midst of uncertainty, and fear. My daily post of one image of beauty to counter the currently overwhelming fear narrative.
I used interference oil paint colors to render the painting ABSTRACTA 04.12.19. It relies on good lighting for the best effect. And when it’s dialed in, it is reveals a luminescent iridescence. The interference paint is set atop a layer of the darkest brown/black. When lit, the image is unveiled in the darkness of its background, like a subtle mother of pearl.
Passages, unfolding leaves and petals, gentle oceans, moments of contemplation, and waves of light, light, light, provide the soothing balm I need on this journey
