Austin-based artist Roi James has completed a new commission for jewelry designer Kendra Scott, a longtime collector whose Austin residence features an extensive collection of his work. For this project, James drew inspiration for the paintings from the Kendra Scott product line itself, which featured mother of pearl in one of her earring designs. This element is incorporated as part of the paintings.
